Sylvandor's Reclamation
Sylvandor’s Reclamation is a two-part fantasy series following Tilia, a woman who has spent years building a quiet human life while hiding the magic—and the memories—of the Fae world she left behind. When strange creatures begin appearing at the edges of her carefully constructed existence, followed by a mysterious man who seems to know far more about her than he should, Tilia is forced to confront the truth of what she abandoned in Elarindel.
Rooted in Fae folklore, nature magic, and the complicated relationship between memory and identity, Sylvandor’s Reclamation is a story about returning to what was lost without returning to who you once were—and reclaiming the right to decide for yourself who you will become.
Inside the World of Sylvandor
THE WORLD
Sylvandor is a realm divided by the Veil. On one side lies Thornwich, the human lands where most have learned to regard the Fae as little more than remnants of old stories. It is here, in the town of Freycross, that Tilia has built her life.
Beyond the Veil lies the Isle of the Lake—the Faerie lands of Sylvandor, where ancient magic still thrives and the city of Elarindel stands as the seat of the High Court.
Tilia has lived on both sides. Only one of them knows what she truly is.
THE CHARACTERS
At the center of the story is Tilia, a Fae woman who crossed the Veil years ago and built a human life in Freycross, leaving much of her former identity behind. Meric Nhareth, Keeper of Truths, is sent by the High Court to retrieve her, but believes bringing Tilia home means very little if she cannot first understand why she left.
Between them stand the family Tilia has chosen in Thornwich, the Fae awaiting her return, and a past that neither distance nor forgetting has managed to erase.
THE MAGIC
Magic in Sylvandor is alive in the natural world, but the Veil has changed humanity's relationship with it. Beyond it, magic remains woven into the lives and identities of the Fae; in Thornwich, its existence has faded into folklore.
Tilia's own magic, however, crossed the Veil with her. She has spent years suppressing something that was never truly gone—and awakening it may reveal more than simply what she can do.
THE CREATURES
The creatures humans remember from old tales still exist on the other side of the Veil—and sometimes they cross it. Brownies slip into places they haven't been invited. Spriggans carry the temperament of the wild places they guard. Other Fae move between forms, allowing them to pass through the human world unnoticed. And when a particularly persistent black cat begins appearing around Tilia, the creatures of her forgotten world suddenly don't seem quite so distant anymore.
The Story So Far
Sylvandor’s Reclamation is currently in development as a two-part fantasy series, carrying three chapters each, beginning with The Scepter’s Awakening and concluding with The Scepter’s Redemption.
Both parts are currently being written and illustrated, with no publication date announced yet.
