Create Something Meaningful with your own Custom Mythology Illustration

Every commission begins with a conversation.

Whether you're honoring a memory, exploring a personal symbol, creating artwork inspired by nature, or bringing a creature from your imagination to life, we'll begin by uncovering the story behind it. My work is rooted in mythology, folklore, symbolism, and the quiet details that give a piece lasting meaning.

From there, I create an original digital illustration that becomes the foundation of your artwork.

Once the illustration is complete, you can choose how you'd like your piece to live in the world.

The Process

1. Discovery

We'll talk about your ideas, inspirations, symbolism, and the story you'd like your artwork to tell. This collaborative stage allows us to build something personal and uniquely yours.

2. Original Illustration

Every commission begins as an original digital illustration. This is the heart of the creative process and the foundation from which every other medium grows.

3. Choose Its Form

Once your illustration is complete, it can remain as a digital artwork or continue its journey into one or more handcrafted forms.

  • Archival Print

A museum-quality print of your original illustration, ready for framing and display.

  • Original Ink Drawing

A hand-rendered interpretation of your illustration using traditional ink techniques. Every ink piece is an original artwork, not a reproduction.

  • Wood Burn

Your illustration recreated by hand using pyrography, allowing the natural grain and texture to become part of the finished piece.

Fine Art Charcoal

Charcoal commissions are offered as a separate body of work.

Unlike my mythology illustrations, charcoal focuses on highly detailed, realistic artwork and follows its own creative process. If you're interested in a charcoal commission, I'd be happy to discuss your project separately.

Please be sure to read the Commission Policy Statement at the bottom of this page before fully committing to the process.

Commission Pricing

Every commission starts with a free project inquiry. You can find the form below to begin.

If your idea feels like a good fit for my studio, we'll begin with a Concept Session. This is a collaborative first step where we explore your story, symbolism, and inspiration before any artwork is created.

A flat rate fee of $50 reserves your place in my studio schedule while we collaboratively develop the creative foundation for your commission. The full $50 is applied toward the final cost of your artwork.

Commission Policy Statement

Every piece of artwork I create begins with a conversation.

Whether we're exploring a meaningful memory, a personal symbol, a creature from your imagination, or an idea inspired by the natural world, my goal is to create artwork that feels intentional, personal, and lasting.

The following policies help ensure a clear, collaborative, and enjoyable experience for both of us.

The Commission Process

Step One — Inquiry

Every project begins with a free inquiry through my website.

You'll tell me a little about your idea, and I'll review your request to determine whether it fits my artistic style and current studio schedule. If I feel we're a good fit, I'll invite you to move forward with a Concept Session.

Step Two — Concept Session

$50 Flat Rate

The Concept Session is where your commission truly begins.

Together we'll explore your ideas, symbolism, inspiration, and the story behind your artwork. During this stage I'll begin developing concepts, planning composition, researching where needed, and laying the creative foundation for your illustration.

The Concept Session fee reserves your place in my studio schedule and covers the time and creative energy invested in this first stage of the process.

Because this is a completed creative service, the Concept Session fee is non-refundable.

If you choose to continue with your commission, the entire $75 is applied toward your final commission price.

Step Three — Original Illustration

Every commission begins as an original digital illustration.

This illustration becomes the foundation for every other medium I create.

Original Illustrations begin at $125.

This includes:

  • Creative consultation and concept development

  • Original digital illustration

  • One round of revisions

  • High-resolution final artwork

Continue the Journey

Once your illustration is complete, you may choose to have your artwork continue into one or more handcrafted forms.

Archival Fine Art Print

Starting at +$40 for an 8x8

Museum-quality archival print of your original illustration, ready for framing.

Original Ink Drawing

Starting at +$75 for an 8x10

A hand-rendered interpretation of your illustration using traditional ink techniques. Every ink drawing is an original artwork and will naturally carry the subtle character of creating by hand.

Original Wood Burn

Starting at +$100 for a 6x6

Your illustration recreated by hand using professional pyrography techniques, allowing the burning process, as well as the natural grain and texture of the wood to become part of the finished artwork.

Fine Art Charcoal

Starting at $350 for a 9x12

Charcoal commissions are offered separately from my mythology illustrations.

These highly detailed, realistic works follow their own creative process and are ideal for portraits, wildlife or pets, and fine art studies.

Turnaround Times

Every piece of artwork is created by hand and thoughtfully developed from the initial concept to the finished piece. As both a full-time homeschooling mom and a working artist, my studio operates with intention rather than speed.

Rather than rushing through multiple commissions at once, I prefer to give each project the care, attention, and creative space it deserves while honoring the rhythms of both my creative practice and my family life. I believe this balance allows me to create artwork that feels meaningful and lasting.

Estimated turnaround times:

  • Original Illustrations: 2–4 weeks

  • Original Ink Drawings: 3–5 weeks

  • Original Wood Burns: 4–8 weeks

  • Fine Art Charcoal: 6–10 weeks

These timelines are estimates and may change depending on my current workload or the complexity of your project.

Throughout the process I'll keep you updated on your commission's progress. If anything affects your timeline, you'll hear from me as soon as possible.

Copyright, Licensing & Ownership

All commissions include personal-use rights by default.

This means you may display, print, gift, and share your artwork for personal, non-commercial use. I retain the copyright and creative ownership of every piece I create, allowing me to include completed artwork in my portfolio, on my website and social media, in exhibitions, and as part of my lifelong body of artistic work.

I will never recreate or resell a personalized commission for another client.

Commercial Licensing

Artwork intended for branding, logos, merchandise, publishing, advertising, or other commercial use requires a separate Commercial License.

Commercial licensing is available for an additional 50–100% of the base commission price, depending on the scope of the project.

Exclusive Ownership

Exclusive ownership (full copyright transfer and removal of the artwork from my portfolio) may be available beginning at an additional 200% of the base commission price.

Because every piece contributes to the larger body of work I'm building throughout my career, I rarely grant full copyright transfer and reserve the right to decline these requests. Exclusive ownership is considered only in special circumstances and must be discussed before work begins.

Personal Tattoo Licenses

Select original illustrations from my personal collections are available as Personal Tattoo Licenses.

A Personal Tattoo License grants permission for one individual to have one tattoo created from one of my existing artworks by the licensed tattoo artist of their choice.

Each license includes:

  • A high-resolution artwork file.

  • Permission for your tattoo artist to make reasonable adjustments for placement and longevity.

A Personal Tattoo License does not transfer copyright or ownership of the artwork.

I retain the right to:

  • Display the artwork in my portfolio.

  • Produce prints, stickers, books, wood burns, and other artistic works featuring the illustration.

  • Continue developing the artwork as part of my mythology and creative collections.

Not every artwork will be available for tattoo licensing. I reserve the right to determine which pieces become available in order to preserve the integrity of certain works and collections.

If you'd like an entirely original illustration created specifically for a tattoo, that process falls under my standard commission services and follows the same policies outlined here.

Revisions

Each commission includes one complimentary revision during the illustration stage.

Additional revisions are billed at $25 per revision.

This helps keep the creative process focused while respecting the time and care invested in every piece.

Declining a Commission

I reserve the right to decline commission requests that fall outside my artistic focus, conflict with my personal values, or simply aren't the right fit for my studio.

If I believe another artist would better serve your vision, I'll always communicate that honestly and respectfully.

Thank You

Creating meaningful artwork is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Thank you for considering my studio and for trusting me with your story.
